Over the next few months, The Hudson Companies will be announcing our newest business venture: hudsonecofuel, LLC. It is an exciting time for our company because through hudsonecofuel, LLC, we hope to make changes in fuel efficiency and energy conservation that will impact our entire region.

Changing the Landscape - Introducing hudsonecofuel, LLC

The Hudson Companies have had a long history of envisioning new roads to success, then creating innovative business synergies to get there. Employing technology, science and a customer-first approach, we've relied on our core competencies to diversify and introduce new products and ventures such as BioFuel.

BioFuel is a clean burning, alternative fuel produced from animal fat, recycled cooking oil or virgin vegetable oil such as soybean oil. It is safe to store and it is renewable. BioFuel does not contain petroleum, but can be mixed with petroleum diesel to create a biodiesel blend. It is biodegradable, non-toxic and essentially free of sulfur and aromatics. BioFuel has been widely used in Europe for years. It is the only alternative fuel to fully complete the health effects testing requirement of the U.S. Clean Air Act. Since this alternative energy resource can be used with conventional equipment, we now have a substantial opportunity to immediately address our energy security issues.

Hudson will help pave the road to fuel efficiency and, once again, change the landscape.

Hudson has made a commitment to leading the region with our introduction of BioFuel. Recognizing our responsibility in the Northeast to reduce pollutants and foreign oil imports is critical to our future. The use of BioFuel will change our economic and environmental landscape. Through the highest standards for our products, services and people, Hudson is ready to create revolutionary changes in fuel efficiency and energy conservation.

Hudson is ready to provide BioFuel to three critical application areas - transportation, commercial construction equipment and heating . We can now have a renewable energy resource that can serve many commercial, residential and industrial segments.

BioFuel can be a substitute for petroleum diesel in any vehicle designed to operate on diesel fuel, including within the marine industry . The superior lubricating properties of BioFuel can even extend the life of diesel engines. With heavy equipment, the environmental benefits are even greater. Since off-road vehicles do not have to meet federal low-sulfur standards, switching to BioFuel will dramatically benefit our environment. And heating fuel, used predominately in the Northeast, can be enhanced with this cleaner burning alternative fuel. We will all benefit from its use as we reduce greenhouse gas emissions along with our dependence on imported oil.

We will be rolling out our BioFuel program over the coming months, announcing how our new company, hudsonecofuel, LLC, will be structured and including a timetable for distribution.
